KIM'S CONVENIENCE TORONTO & NORTH AMERICA TOUR

Kim's Convenience is coming to Canadian and North American audiences in partnership with Soulpepper and American Conservatory Theatre in 2025.

Kim's Convenience has returned to the stage where it began! This tour reunites celebrated playwright Ins Choi with original director Weyni Mengesha.

The most successful Canadian play of the last decade, Kim’s Convenience became an internationally successful TV show on CBC and Netflix following its original run at Soulpepper and now makes its triumphant return home.

Kim's Convenience opened at Soulpepper in Toronto on the 6th Feb and will stay there until 9th March. It will then head to American Conservatory Theatre in the fall of 2025 before travelling around the US.

Humour and heart on every aisle.

The hilarious and heartwarming award-winning comedy-drama about a family-run Korean store that inspired the Netflix hit, is a feel-good ode to generations of immigrants who have made Canada the country that it is today.

Mr. Kim works hard to support his wife and children at his Toronto convenience store. As he evaluates his future, he faces both a changing neighbourhood landscape and the gap between his values and those of his Canada-born children. Written by Ins Choi.

Choi calls Kim’s Convenience his ‘love letter to his parents and to all first-generation immigrants who call Canada their home.’
