Job Summary

 Adam Blanshay Productions is seeking an Associate General Manager to join the team. The successful applicant will be the Associate General Manager Kim’s Convenience production at Riverside Studios as well as help GM preparations for the 2025 UK Tour. They should have a prolific understanding of commercial theatre practices, drafting and negotiating budgets, contracts and agreements, UK and US Equity, TTR, touring logistics, financial administration, investor reporting and investment/co-production management. We are looking for someone with a strong maths/quant and excellent excel background who loves analysing data, formulas and forecasting figures.

Job Description

The Associate General Manager is a key member of the ABP team working under the General Manager, and closely with the Producer. We are looking for someone who can provide and maintain the right industry practices, at a high standard, enabling our theatre projects to progress accordingly and who is interested in the business development and the growth of Adam Blanshay Productions as a whole.

Job Requirements

Essential requirements

  • Minimum 3 years experience in General Management in the commercial theatre industry (we are not looking for transferable skills from other industries)

  • Computer Literate - Excellent knowledge of Excel, Word, Outlook/Mail, etc.)

  • Excellent communication skills and attention to detail (written and verbal) and excellent mathematical knowledge

Production

  • Contract/Agreement drafting, reviewing and negotiation

    • Rights Agreements

    • Artist

    • Creative

    • Investment and Investor

  • General day to day management of productions:

    •  Logistics planning & management

    •  First port of call to: Production Manager, Company Stage Manager, Venue Management

​

  • Production Budgeting

    •  Drafting

    • Budget management

    • Reviewing

​

  • Sales & Marketing

    • Liaising with Marketing company to devise best strategy alongside producers

    • Sales Analysis

    • Sales Management, with Box Office. Knowledge of effective dynamic pricing

​

Investors and Investment & Co-production Management

  • Investors Relations

    • Advise potential investors on financial elements of opportunities

    • Advise of recoupment schedules

    • Investor financial reporting

    • General Investor relations (financial)

 

The above is not an exhaustive list of duties and you will be expected to perform different tasks as required by the business.

 

The timeline of this role is up for discussion - we are looking for someone to work certainly up until September when the production opens, however there is potential to roll the contract to support ABP through the run and onwards.
